What do I mean by options. With the increase in value in your property, perhaps this is the year we take a look at getting rid of your other debts and doing a refinance instead of a straight renewal. What term and interest rates make sense for you this renewal. It shouldn't be a sign and done process anymore. Take some time to have a conversation with me, it could save you thousands of dollars.
Mortgage options are more complicated today then they've ever been. There is fine print in many of the mortgages now (restricting paying them out, how they charge payout penalties and on and on). Now it's important than ever to work with an experienced mortgage broker when you are considering doing any financing.
The main benefit of working with a mortgage broker, is they work with many banks and understand the inner workings of many banks (not just one)
So give me a call. I'll get a rate locked in for you, if they go down great (the rate I secured will go down too), if they go up, your rate that you sign at is locked in. Speaking of rates, the variable rate discounts that are being offered are around prime minus .90% (we call this a deep discount). There are rumblings that these discounts could lesson I've seen discounts shrink to .60% below prime. So it's important to be proactive and get your renewal conversation going early.
